Bob MuellerBob Mueller (Chairperson)
Bob Mueller created, developed and oversees Quality Management Services for Team Detroit, a WPP Company comprised of JWT, Wunderman, Y&R, Mindshare and Ogilvy. He is an experienced veteran of the marketing business and has a deep understanding of agency service and functional operation. In the early stages of his career, he worked for the Ford Marketing & Sales Division of Ford Motor Company, and then headed up Sales & Marketing for an amusement games manufacturing company. He joined JWT in 1988 working for the Regional Advertising team that handled the Ford Dealer Advertising Association business. He rose through the ranks to ultimately take the position of executive management director in charge of running the U.S. certifications in ISO 9001:2000 and Ford’s Q1 Program. His QMX group is also responsible for ensuring SOX compliance. He has vast experience in improvement studies and has completed a variety of Six Sigma projects. He has also achieved senior member status in the American Society for Quality.

 

Kenneth D. HollowayKenneth D. Holloway
Ken Holloway is a resident of Henry Ford Village and a retiree of the Ford Motor Company where he was president of Ford Direct Markets, Inc. and served in several sales, marketing and management positions during his 36-year tenure. Other positions included director of marketing, Ford of Europe; vice-president, Philco-Ford; and president of Ford Mideast and Africa, Inc. After retiring, he served as a volunteer consultant, and treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Detroit Executive Service Corps. Mr. Holloway received a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Arkansas and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.

 

Gary KuhlmannGary Kuhlmann
Gary Kuhlmann, a Dearborn native, is the owner of Park Place Banquet and Catering facility which he opened in 1970. He has been a member of the Dearborn Community Arts Council for many years and has served as a board chairman. He is past president of the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce, the Dearborn Pioneers and the Dearborn Goodfellows. Gary is a longtime member of the Exchange Club of Dearborn and is currently on the Board of Directors. The inter-service club council selected Gary as the service club member of the year in 1983. He is also past Chairman of the Henry Ford Community College Foundation. He served as past chairperson for the City of Dearborn’s Michigan Week. Gary and his wife Susan have been married for thirty-eight years and are proud residents of Dearborn.

 

Larry VidovicLarry Vidovic
Larry Vidovic came to Henry Ford Village in 1998 as the director of Resident Life, where he created programs that enhanced the quality of life for the residents. He was promoted to Executive Director and was responsible for all daily operations at Henry Ford Village until his retirement in 2008. Upon retirement, Larry joined Henry Ford Village’s Board of Directors. Before joining Henry Ford Village, he served as a key administrator to Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan, and instructed graduate courses on gerontology at his alma mater, Wayne State University, where he earned a master’s degree. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University and master’s degree from the University of Toronto. Larry is a member of Henry Ford Village’s Medical Center ad hoc committee.

 

John ByrneJohn Byrne
John Byrne is the founder and CEO of Integrity Home Health Care, Inc., a Medicare Certified Home Health agency. Prior to founding Integrity, John was a healthcare finance executive at several organizations including senior vice president and chief financial officer for the Visiting Nurse Association and vice president of treasury for the Oakwood Healthcare System. In addition to Henry Ford Village, John’s civil contributions include serving on the Board of Harper and Hutzel Hospitals, chairperson of the Harper and Hutzel Hospitals Finance Committee, a member of the Detroit Medical Center finance committee and Detroit Medical Center audit committee.

 

Lynn Ford Alandt (Honorary Board Member)
Lynn Ford Alandt is the great-granddaughter of Henry Ford. In addition to serving on the Board of Henry Ford Village, she is active in several community and charitable organizations, including The Henry Ford, Greenfield Village, Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, the Detroit Zoo, and the Children’s Home of Detroit.

 

Gary R. Glenn, Esq.Gary R. Glenn, Esq.
Gary Glenn is an attorney with the firm of Miller Canfield. A principal and practice group leader in the Federal Tax and Employee Benefits Practice Group, Gary is versed in all areas of federal tax with particular emphasis on providing tax planning advice for business combinations, sales, purchases, and divisions. He received his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from the University of Michigan in economics. Gary is a member of Henry Ford Village’s finance, audit and risk management committee.

 

Mark GuidoMark Guido
Mark has served for over 20 years as the Mayor’s Chief of Staff for the City of Dearborn. He is responsible for general supervision of all 17 administrative departments, as well as the Mayor’s office staff. He serves on the West Dearborn and East Dearborn Downtown Development Authorities. He holds an M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in business administration from Wayne State University. Formerly, he was a senior research analyst for D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, a global advertising agency. Mark is chairperson of Henry Ford Village’s board development and governance committee. He lives in Dearborn, is married, and has four children.

 

Karen L. RossKaren L. Ross, Ed.D.
Dr. Karen Ross is a gerontologist and dean of the College of Social Sciences at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan where she teaches in the department of gerontology. She earned a doctor of education degree in human services administration from Wayne State University and an M.A. in education and a graduate certificate in gerontology from the University of Michigan. Dr. Ross serves as a program reviewer for the Association of Gerontology in Higher Education and is a community mediator. She is a member of the American Association of Health Care Administrators, the Association of Gerontology in Higher Education, and the Gerontological Society of America. Karen is the chairperson of Henry Ford Village’s resident and staff relations committee.

 

Robert SowisloRobert Sowislo
Bob Sowislo is the former chief financial officer of the Oakwood Healthcare System. His civil contributions to the downriver area include being a founding member of the Dearborn Public Schools Education Foundation, the Oakwood Health Services Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity in Detroit. He’s currently the chief financial officer with the Visiting Physicians Association. Committees: Bob is chairperson of Henry Ford Village’s finance, audit and risk management committee; as well as a member of Henry Ford Village’s Medical Center ad hoc committee. He resides in Bloomfield Hills with his wife, Karen, and two children.

 

Walter J. TalamontiWalter J. Talamonti, MD, MPH, FACOEM
Dr. Walt Talamonti is medical director of clinical operations for Ford Motor Company where he is responsible for all medical policies, programs, and procedures for the Ford plant medical facilities in North America. Dr. Talamonti holds faculty positions at Wayne State University and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and his M.P.H. and B.S. degrees from the University of Michigan. Dr. Talamonti is chairperson of Henry Ford Village’s Medical Center ad hoc committee.
